The request seems odd, even intrusive—and for the two women who answer, the consequences are devastating.
EMMA
Reeling from a traumatic break-in, Emma wants a new place to live. But none of the apartments she sees are affordable or feel safe. Until One Folgate Street. The house is an architectural masterpiece: a minimalist design of pale stone, plate glass, and soaring ceilings. But there are rules. The enigmatic architect who designed the house retains full control: no books, no throw pillows, no photos or clutter or personal effects of any kind. The space is intended to transform its occupant—and it does.
JANE
After a personal tragedy, Jane needs a fresh start. When she finds One Folgate Street she is instantly drawn to the space—and to its aloof but seductive creator. Moving in, Jane soon learns about the untimely death of the home’s previous tenant, a woman similar to Jane in age and appearance. As Jane tries to untangle truth from lies, she unwittingly follows the same patterns, makes the same choices, crosses paths with the same people, and experiences the same terror, as the girl before.

I'm always looking for the next and best thriller to read. I'm a sucker for a twisty, dark, and dangerous read. So when I read all the amazing things about this book, I knew I had to pick it up and boy am I glad that I did.
The journey, the ride, and the depth of these characters is what made the story to me. I loved digging deeper into the characters personalities and finding out who they really were. Seeing them unfold before your eyes. I found myself smiling a lot while reading this book...at just the utter audacity of some of the things that goes on in this book.
Basically this story follows alongside two women who lived in different times but both moved into the same house. One Folgate Street. This house is extreme. It's incredibly smart and comes with a pamphlet of rules you must be able to follow to even be considered to move into this house.
But Emma who lived in the past was killed in the house and when Jane in the now finds out, she can't stop thinking about how she died. Was is suicide or was it murder? Nobody knows.
Jane becomes obsessed with finding out the truth, while finding herself getting involved with the man who built the home she is now living in. But soon things quickly escalade and Jane finds out some truth that maybe she didn't want to know. Something that she won't be able to forget.
But can Jane escape the past that Emma suffered or will she too end up like Emma? The story is truly brilliant. The thought alone that went into this book, amazes me. And it will leave you with an ending that you will never see coming.

I have had this on my TBR and I think I am going to run over to Overdrive and put a hold on it. Great review!
