Book Review: A COURT OF WINGS AND RUIN by Sarah J Maas
Feyre has returned to the Spring Court, determined to gather information on Tamlin's maneuverings and the invading king threatening to bring Prythian to its knees. But to do so she must play a deadly game of deceit-and one slip may spell doom not only for Feyre, but for her world as well.
As war bears down upon them all, Feyre must decide who to trust amongst the dazzling and lethal High Lords-and hunt for allies in unexpected places.
In this thrilling third book in the #1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling series from Sarah J. Maas, the earth will be painted red as mighty armies grapple for power over the one thing that could destroy them all.

Where to even begin with a book like this...I don't even know. ACOWAR was such a journey and it was a journey that I felt privileged to go on. Such an amazing...beautiful journey that these characters took. This series is one of my all time favorites and to remember where these characters started, to where they end is the true transformation of character development.
"My goal was bigger than revenge. My purpose greater than personal retribution."
I can definitely say that I've formed such an attachment to these characters and totally didn't want it to end...like at all. Everything about this book was perfection. Every word, every inch of passion that was dripped into this book, every fight scene that had me pacing, and every death only brought me so much closer to the edge.
"We deserve to be happy...and I will fight with everything I have to ensure it."
Feyre, Rhysand, and the Inner Circle are back at it in this bad boy. And they are ready to fight for the fight of their lives. This gang is like a family...they are a family. And when one is in pain, they are all in pain. They are a gang. Of ultimate squad goals. They know each other like the back of their hands but as Hybern forces grow stronger and more powerful, this group find themselves in a hell they never thought they would be living in.
"I repeated their names silently, over and over into the darkness. Rhysand. Mor. Cassian. Amren. Azriel. Elain. Nesta."
Though this was the last book following Feyre and Rhysand, I couldn't have asked for a better end to their story. It was EVERYTHING and soooo much more. Rhysand will forever be my FAE and Feyre will always be my homegirl. This is a series that I will never get tired of and definitely be re-reading for years to come.
"You belong to all of us, and we belong to you."
I felt every emotion that you could possibly feel. I felt every pain they did, flinching or hurting along with them. I felt every tear that was shed, feeling the wetness on my cheeks. I felt every victory, smiling at the chance they had to possibly win this war. I felt heartache, knowing quite possibly my favorite characters could die but learning to cope with it...knowing it wouldn't be in vain.
"But this is war. We don't have the luxury of good ideas - only picking between the bad ones."
But that's the beauty of this book and this series. The not knowing what will happen to these characters. Will they live or will they die? Will they be changed forever? That's what makes these books so beautiful to me. Seeing the outcome of these beloved characters. Not knowing where their story will end or where it will begin.
I can admit while I was reading, I probably cried a lot more than I did in any of the other books. Probably because all my emotions were running wild knowing this was the end of their chapter but I absorbed every word, and I would do it all over again. This. Book. Is. A. Must. Read. In the best possible way. I can't wait to be in this book world again following different characters.
